Putrella, The Corpse Flower Amorphophallus Titanum

The Muttart Conservatory's Amorphophallus Titanum (Corpse Flower) from the jungles of Sumatra, which was 239cm in height at the time of this photo. Upon awaking this morning, read that it bloomed overnight and I will be rushing over to take a photo of it in bloom and open in the morning. When blooming, it apparently smells like rotten flesh and the flower is a reddish-brown color to attract the pollinators for this species as it blooms only every 14-16 years.
